I bought both Gillian Fuel and Elizabeth Fuel and this is by far my favorite — the nutrition profile/macros and the taste fit my needs pretty well. I will definitely be purchasing more Gillian Fuel, and I can’t wait to experiment with the batch I have to get different textures and tastes :)
Thank you for your product :)

This is a nice one. I’ve tried a couple of other mixes, and I found I really liked adding chocolate or cinnamon, so I appreciate the flavor. I like mine a little thicker than the recipe describes, though, and less water makes the Stevia flavor overpowering, so even though I’m drinking it more watered down than I’d like I’m still getting sick of the fake sugar flavor. I’ll probably alternate with something unsweetened although I like the convenience of not having to add the right amount of sweetener. It’s just my first day on this one (long break since the last one), but I’m not hungry or headachy (the other times I got headaches, my understanding is that can happen if you’re not used to getting the right amount of potassium). I also didn’t feel weird after a decaf americano, so that’s nice. And I like the chia seeds!

I am very much enjoying Gillian fuel after a few weeks of tweaking. I make mine with Safflower oil with added vitamin E, and it is quite good.
The first two times I made this, I really didn’t like it all that much. At the time I thought it might be because Stevia is just a flavor I can not stand. Looking back, I think it can also be attributed to the oil I chose. Olive oil the first time was meh. Coconut oil the second time made the hard task of getting used to the expanded chia seed texture even harder since coconut oil is solid at the temperature I like to drink this at. Finally tried the Safflower oil (because I wanted more Vitamin E), and it makes the drink a much more palatable texture and flavor.

To me it tastes like cheap hot cocoa, more Swiss Miss than Starbucks, but it is absolutely drinkable and I was in ketosis fast. I didn’t think it was too salty and those of us who don’t get a lot of carbs run low on sodium anyway. I ordered a different blend for next week just to see, but if this ends up my favorite, I’ll be fine with that. Using coconut oil for your MCT means you’ve got little bits of coconut oil in it, awesome if you shake really hard and they’re in tiny peices, not so awesome if you don’t shake and they are in big chunks.
But yeah, this is good stuff and I’m happy with it.

Pretty good! I could totally live off of this. Now I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel the drink is a little bit too salty. Perhaps 2-3 grams of salt (instead of 4) should suffice. And besides, it’s not like we need a lot of sodium in our diets… IIRC, the FDA daily quantity is actually an UPPER LIMIT, not a recommended amount.

Thanks Flix! The amount of sodium in Gillian Fuel is based on the minimum recommendation of 1.5g per day, rather than the usual upper level of 2.3g per day. I find that ketogenic blends generally taste more salty than normal, without starches to balance out the flavor.

This is my first soylent attempt and I selected Gillian fuel simply because it was only 1,400 calories a day. The taste is fine, I am minimally hungry as I sip it throughout the day, and my first two days I lost 4 lbs. I will be using it on and off instead of weeks straight probably. I am not concerned about ketosis, I just want a low cal healthy food alternative. Overall it seems to be perfect for now, low calorie, not hungry, and not tempted to eat junk while consuming it. Also axcho, the owner of this website, was very patient answering my questions.

I have been using this blend for about a month now.
I am not new to Soylent-type diets, but am supplementing with some red meat almost nightly. For those curious, I have not been kicked out of ketogenesis using this product in this fashion – the protein-to-fat seems to work perfectly.
Over all, I feel better, and love the flavor, and am particularly fond of the cinnamon hints. The drink is smooth and doesn’t have that “sharp” feeling some brands have.
It definitely does need a Blender Bottle, as the chia seeds love to clump together at the bottom otherwise.
Occasionally, adding some sugar free Torani can change up the flavor – I found that Hazelnut tastes pretty great in small doses.

A good introduction to the world of Soylent. I’m been using this for about a week now. I’ve continued to eat a single meal each day and only using 2/3 of a day’s mix. I’ve had no issues with hunger.
The taste is OK, though it is getting old after a week. A neutral mix with the ability to add flavoring elements would be a nice to have.
