Description

People Chow Plain has been discontinued in favor of an improved recipe called People Fuel Plain.

People Chow Plain is my take on the most popular DIY recipe, People Chow 3.0.1 – “Tortilla Perfection!”.

Tastes like Cheerios or corn tortillas, depending on who you ask. Corn, whey, and a hint of vanilla flavor.

All prices include shipping. Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery.

I agree with the review Jason posted on June 18, 2014.
The taste is hard to describe. If I had to, it would be something like watered down soymilk + very fine grains of tortilla. Even after a week, I still haven’t gotten used to the taste yet.

Note that I have only been substituting about one meal a day with this. I haven’t really felt hungry afterwards too so thats a plus. Anyhow still quite early to say anything definite but no problems so far!

Ordered a weeks worth and it’s worked out so well I ordered another batch (Schmoylent) for two weeks this time!
Tools needed thus far have been a blender bottle, 4 quart pitcher, and a whisk. The whisk works wonders on the clumps (use it as you would a mixing spoon), each batch is mixed the night before.

Exactly what the recipe intended. Much less gritty than what I put together and very light taste. I am trying Schmoylent as well as getting 2 more weeks of PC plain.

    Great job, Axxo!

After one week on location with a drilling rig, here is what I have to report for my People Chow- Plain. After much hassle with USPS and having to call around to neighboring office buildings to hunt it down – it appeared! I stopped at Walmart on the way to the rig and bought 2 blender bottles, oil, and other groceries in case it didn’t out well. My plan of attack quickly evolved into 8oz of powder -> 8oz of water -> shake with no ball to get to a “batter” type consistency -> more water + ball and shake ->chill in the fridge. I averaged around 2-3 bottles a day like this, and never had a 100% day thanks to sales reps showing up with burritos and hope to get in on the business lol.

Taste: pretty neutral, you cant dislike it. Makes for a great quick meal on the fly. I also tried adding a shot of maple syrup to a few, and chocolate syrup to another. Thumbs Up.

Texture: This is half good half bad. It seems about 3/4 of the powder will dissolve nicely and stay in solution, the rest tends to float and eventually settle out. A few quick shakes before you drink and you can get it all suspended and down it. The gritty-ness was there, but not a game breaker for me and my taste buds by any means.

Fullness: It is weird trying to determine hunger by REALLY listening to your body and not just want your brain wants, there were a few times I would have a bottle ready to go in the fridge and still catch myself reaching for a convenience meal out of habit I suppose. After both sipping or chugging a bottle my hunger was gone without being “full” (I typically eat until “thanksgiving full” given the chance to, not good) A bottle would keep me going 3-4 hours and then I would fuel back up.

I hope to experiment a little more with flavors and blenders ect later this week.and if I come up with anything, I will let you all know. Overall though, for around $2.85/meal it is totally worth it. It fuels me up and is by no means a chore to drink. Thumbs up Axcho et all !
