Schmoylent Clean

$60.00

Inspired by Soylent. Gluten-free.

Description

Custom Body Fuel is no longer in business! Please order Schmoylent at Super Body Fuel instead.

Schmoylent Clean is my gluten-free take on the official Soylent 1.0 formula. If you are fine with trace amounts of gluten, try Schmoylent.

It has the exact same macronutrient amounts in each daily serving, and is based on a mix of oat flour and rice protein just like Soylent. But instead of artificial vanillin, I’ve used rice protein with natural vanilla flavor, along with a tiny bit of stevia instead of sucralose for those who are sensitive to it (like me!). More recently, I’ve stopped using maltodextrin and now use rice flour instead. And it’s vegan and soy-free.

All prices include shipping. Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery.

This is my first go at Soylent and I was stoked that Custom Body Fuel was serving up pre-mixed recipes that I could simply pour water into, as this made it extremely easy to get into.

I got the 7-day package but I took my time consuming it over the course of a month, using it mostly for breakfast, and also sometimes as dinner, but skipping some days altogether. Overall I’ve noticed my digestion is better with no more stomach issues, probably thanks to the fiber, but my stomach is pretty sensitive, so I was extremely pleased how much this stuff helped!

The oil didn’t usually mix, staying layered on top when I checked it the morning after mixing. Shaking the pitcher brought it together again and after that it was alright, but I am worried that I did it wrong.

The smell and taste really is somewhat like cake batter, and a bit grainy but otherwise it goes down well. I like the taste, and it’s especially nice with a little cinnamon added (I got the vanilla version).

It came with simple instructions which made it very clear what I had to do. I used a Ninja Master Prep blender, 48oz, which is not big enough so I split the blending in half for a day’s worth. I used a Takeya pitcher from Amazon like everyone else recommends, and now I recommend it too.

I’ll be ordering more for sure! I’d like to try other versions though and see how they compare. I’ll be keeping Schmoylent as a regular part of my diet as it seems to help a lot, in both nutrition and convenience.

2 month into it and all is well, not trying to lose weight but have lost 3 pounds.
no more sugar cravings after my meals or before bed, also kicked the morning pot of coffee. I have found that if you mix 3 parts Chocolate Clean with 1 part Cinnamon it is quite tasty. I find it is best made the night before. I mix up 3 Bullet mixer cups one at a time and allow it to mix with the Sunflower Seed Oil in for 1 minute each makes it a little smoother to drink.

I eat socially 2 to 3 meals a week and find no difference in how my body react to the switching around.
I now have 2 co worker trying the stuff and all seems well

I am using coconut oil instead of canola/olive oil. I was concerned about getting more omega 3 and omega 6 than is recommended. The coconut oil makes the mix thicker so I water it down more. The extra water also helps me space out meals better.

I have tried People Fuel Plus, Ax fuel and Schmoylent clean. I have found that schmoylent clean is my preferred product. My GI tract has reacted more favorably to schmoylent than the other DIY soylents. I smell better overall than I have on other diets. I also prefer the taste of Schmoylent to the other mixes and still enjoy drinking it.

Schmoylent is already the majority of my diet and I am planning to stick to it. My body is already running better than ever.

I ordered Schmoylent Clean on a Thursday and the order arrived already on a Monday. Unbelievably fast shipping compared to the months I have been waiting on Soylent that has yet to be delivered.

I ordered the gluten-free formula, which is also dairy-free. I’ve had dietary restrictions from Lyme Disease for years so meal times are always a bit challenging. I’m traveling overseas soon with the family and had been hoping my Soylent would arrive in time to help make the travels a bit easier. Of course, it didn’t. But, my Shmoylent did!

I ordered a seven-day supply and it came in seven individual bags. As soon as I opened them and took a whiff, I liked the smell. It smelled like pancake batter. Very pleasant. The package included a personalized letter and a set of instructions on how to mix it up. I greatly appreciated the instructions so I didn’t have to go through searching through a website to figure out how to put it all together.

I waited until the following day to start on Schmoylent. It was easy to mix together. I decided to use my Ninja blender since I didn’t have the right size pitcher and chose coconut oil for the 3 1/2 tbs. oil needed.

Mmmmm… delightful. I have nicknamed it “Tropical Chow.” Not only did it taste like pancake batter, the oil gave it hints of coconut. My husband had been very skeptical of the entire idea, but he tried it and declared it “hmmm… not bad.” My 12-year old tried it and declared it “liquid pancakes.” (And, this is from the kid who will eat pancakes every if given the choice.)

The taste has been so pleasant that I find myself craving it by the time the next meal rolls around. I haven’t been hungry, but in all fairness, I’m not someone who eats a lot in the first place. So, I might not be the best judge when it comes to hunger.

I’ve been eating a normal dinner every night since I still need to cook the family. We’re the total organic California type, so I haven’t changed my diet there. Still doing organic meats and veggies from the garden as usual. I have been keeping some Tropical Chow by my bed and sometimes I drink it late at night right before I go to sleep, or in the middle of the night when I wake up. I tend to sleep very, very poorly due to the Lyme Disease (four hours or less a night) and my blood sugar is very wonky. Really hoping all of this might be get balanced and one day I might actually get some more sleep. Hah. It’s been years since I slept eight hours, but I haven’t given up hope.

Since my son likes it so much, I might offer him a small glass his normal breakfast before school to get a bit of extra nutrients into him, too. (He’s also gluten-free/dairy-free for the same reasons.)

I’ve tried one other version of DIY Soylent, but the taste was much grittier than Schmoylent. I still have a bunch of the other formula in my cabinet. My son declared the other one “liquid birdseed.” Will definitely be ordering again.
