I was trying this out based on the Oatmeal Cookie description. This is a very accurate description. It’s more watery than the others I have tried. I’m not sure if the watery-ness or the low carb is the trouble for me, but I’m finding it less sating for me than the other flavors I have tried.

I’m the one who requested this formula and ordered 2 weeks worth from @axcho. So far it is great. The taste reminds me of an oatmeal cookie minus the raisins, or maybe a graham cracker – tastes pleasantly sweet but not overly sweet. I’m not detecting a weird Stevia aftertaste as I do with some products that use Stevia. Texture is pretty smooth if prepared in a blender and stored overnight in the fridge before consuming. I’ve been using it as breakfast, lunch, and snacks, plus having a small normal food dinner. I can see making it taste like gingerbread with a little adjustment of spices. Also you could easily put in some cocoa powder or cacao nibs for a chocolatey taste. Plain rice protein and less or no Stevia if you wanted a neutral taste.

I requested this specific carb/protein profile because I’m prone to blood sugar crashes that negatively affect my mood and productivity. So far this stuff is keeping me on an even keel throughout the day. My partner says I am not coming home “hangry” as I do sometimes if I’ve eaten poorly or not at all. I also feel less interested in sugary foods. Someone brought gorgeous cupcakes to my office today, for example, and I have managed to eat only one, and that felt like a conscious choice. This is semi-miraculous in itself.

I am new to the soylent lifestyle and would probably not choose to use it as my sole source of calories, but that’s why I wanted a relatively low-calorie formula, so I could have the flexibility of a small regular-food meal if I want, or if social propriety requires me to interact in a food-based setting. So far so good.
